“Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war” –  Jeremiah 51:20

If the transformation of the world is a battle that must be won then appropriate weapons, which its use has been mastered must be used.

There are physical weapons that can be used for fighting battles, these include the knives, guns, bows and arrows, chemical weapons, atomic bombs, weapons of mass destruction among others but since this battle is not against flesh and blood (2Cor 10:3), the physical weapons are of no use.

That is why our weapons or warfare must not be canal but they must be mighty through God so that they can be effective for pulling down strongholds and casting down imaginations (2Cor 2:3,4).

It is only spiritual weapons that can be used for fighting spiritual battles.

These weapons are the things that God uses to confound both the wise and the strong. They are weapons that put the enemy to flight, they must therefore be employed in the battle to transform the world for Jesus to ensure our victories.

The Captain of our battle has made available effective weapons to successfully win the war against the destroyer and his agents. These include Love, Righteousness, Holiness, the name of Jesus, the Word of God and human weapons.

  • Love

The power of love in the transformation of the world cannot be overemphasized. It is the force that made Someone to release His only begotten Son to die for the sin of sinners  (John 3:16). It is love that made Someone to leave His throne to lay His life for His friends (John 15:13).

The power in the weapon of love will inspire and drive the agents of transformation relentlessly to look out for the captives of the mighty because love never gives up (1Cor 13:7).

  • Righteousness

The Scripture says, “Awake to righteousness and sin not” (I Cor 15:34a). The identity of the corrupted world is unrighteousness. This unrighteousness is a deadly identity and it serves as the uniform of the enemy’s army. Therefore, the identity and watchword of the transformation army must be righteousness.

They must rightly stand for God no matter what the bait the enemy is throwing and no matter how enticing they are looking. People like Demas (2Tim 4:10) who can be enticed with the ephemeral things of the world cannot win this battle.

In transforming the world, Jesus showed righteousness in that He was not distracted by things that will fade away (Mat 4:8-10, Heb 12:2). He stood for God and He is asking us to do likewise.

  • Holiness

Consider this, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation” (1Pet 2:9).

Holiness is not just a title but is also a weapon for transforming the world.

It is a divine standard that the world must be made to attain. It is a “Thy will be done in the earth as it is in Heaven” standard that must be adhered to.

A holy nation (person) will reproduce a holy nation and a holy nation will transform the world. You can only reproduce yourself. The stinking, rottenness and all sorts of dirt in the world can be removed with the power in the weapon of Holiness.

Do not wait to be infected with corruption, infect and influence the world with Holiness and leave the rest to God.

  • The name of Jesus

Every agent of transformation have access to this weapon! It functions in subduing the enemy, making them of no reputation (Philippians 2:10) and as a shield of protection for transforming soldiers (Pro 18:10).

The name of Jesus can neutralize any weapon of the enemy and can be used, in prayer, to turn things around. Whatever request is made for the transformation of the world in this name will be granted, therefore take the name of Jesus with you.

Take the name of Jesus ever

As a shield from every snare

If temptation round you gather

Breathe that holy name in prayer

  • The Word of God

“For the Word of God is alive” (Heb 4:12). This ever-living weapon has been in use since the creation of the world (Genesis 1:3). The word is always alive and active and can pierce to the deepest part of any man.

The Word is so potent that it can melt the heart of stone. What makes it so active is that it pierces into the heart, the engine room and controller of man, exposes it and makes it to be transformed and renewed.

The Word is given by God (John 1:1, 2Tim 3:16) and profitable for instruction, reproof, conviction of sin, correction of error, discipline and training in righteousness (holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose and action.

All these will produce a man that is “complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work” ( 2Tim 3 17). What a transformation!

  • The human weapon

“Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war. For with thee will I break in pieces the nations and with thee will I destroy kingdoms” (Jeremiah 51:20).

Human weapon is the one that God has made to apply all other weapons in His arsenal. God is constantly seeking for and recruiting people that will serve in this capacity.

God is ready to make people to have broken hearts that is why He wants to break in pieces the horses and their rider, man and woman, old and young, young men and maids, shepherds and the flocks, the husbandman and their yoke of oxen, captains and rulers (Jeremiah 50:20-23). Nobody is expected to escape this weapon.

The people in this category must be God-minded and heavenly-conscious. People like Saul who will greedily spare some portion of fat cattle and sheep cannot fit into this weapon rather it is men and women who will fearlessly transform the world from their end and drive the transformation agenda that could be found there. Get enlisted today.

No soldier rush to the battle front loose-guarded. In the same vein, agents of transformation must be constantly equipped and armed with these readily available weapons and our victory is certain!
