WORKING OUT DIVINE PLAN
I like to share more points with you on how to work out God’s plan for your life, and strongly believe you will need them.

#9 – SEEK THE FACE OF GOD
This very point is broad in itself. But I like to drive home a point here: God must become REAL to you if you will KNOW how to work out His PLAN for your life (Genesis 26:2).

And you can achieve this by developing, growing, cultivating, and nurturing a FATHER-SON or DAUGHTER relationship with Him. In other words, you must be at home with God.

Learn to seek His FACE and not His HAND. Once you are able to get the FACE of God – the presence of the ALMIGHTY in your life, other things becomes so easy.

#10 – SEEK TO HEAR GOD

So, how can you SEEK to HEAR GOD (Genesis 26:2)? First, REPOSITION your HEART – get your heart empty of anxiety, pride and safeguard from contamination of sin.

Second, REPOSITION your EYE – make GOD your FOCUS, have FAITH in His Word. Third, RE-TUNE your EARS – Directly to God’s word – and not DISTRACTIONS.

Fourth, LOCK your MOUTH – Discipline yourself to LISTEN and STUDY. Fifth, STRETCH your HAND – Always be in a READY, WILLING, and EAGER MODE to HEAR from GOD.

Sixth, RE-ORDER your LEGS – Avoid Associations, environments, places and choices that BLOCKS you from HEARING GOD.

#11 – STAY IN GOD’S WILL

Working out God’s PLAN for our lives require that we stay within the scope of God’s WILL for us at a particular TIME, in a particular PLACE, doing a particular THING, and most times with particular PEOPLE (Genesis 26:6).

This understanding is so PIVOTAL to EXPERIENCING God’s Best for our lives. The reason most people miss it in life is because they stay outside God’s WILL for them. This won’t be your portion in Jesus name.

#12 – PRACTICE COVENANT PRINCIPLES

These are God laid down PRINCIPLES by which we WORK out HIS PLAN for our lives. Through these also, we experience HIS blessings, favour, power, and faithfulness.

The Bible says, “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.” Covenant PRACTITIONERS are divinely empowered to work out God’s plan when they ENGAGE the PRINCIPLE (Genesis 26:12).

#13 – AVOID DANGEROUS DESIRE

Our lives goes in the DIRECTION of our DESIRE (Genesis 25:28-34). Therefore, working out God’s Plan for our lives requires constant check of what constitute our desires.

We must deal with unholy, unwholesome, and harmful desires in our hearts. We must not long after things that feeds the flesh and not the Spirit.

We must avoid desires that can make us lose touch with God. Why? Any DESIRE that takes us away from God has succeeded in making us to lose His plan for our lives.

#14 – SEE OPPORTUNITIES IN YOUR STONES

The story of Jacob in Genesis 28:11-22 reveals both sides of CHALLENGES and OPPORTUNITIES. Meanwhile, we can’t do without both in working out God’s Plan for our lives.

It is a must to come face-to-face with CHALLENGES in the JOURNEY of life. And these are what I called STONES.

But the point is: “In every STONE (challenge) of LIFE, lies OPPORTUNITY for OUR ADVANTAGE.” And only those who can SEE OPPORTUNITIES IN THEIR STONES will TAKE the ADVANTAGE.

In other words, whatever situation you are going through now can be a great ADVANTAGE for you, if you are ABLE to SEE OPPORTUNITIES that lies beneath it.

#15 – BE A STONE REMOVER FOR OTHERS

Another thing I discovered in my further study about STONES in the life of Jacob is the blessing of being a STONE REMOVER FOR OTHERS (Genesis 29:1-12). And that simply means, BECOMING A PROBLEM SOLVER FOR OTHERS.

Sometimes we do ourselves more harm than good when we are too CONCERNED ABOUT OUR PERSONAL PROBLEMS. Doing this makes the problem tougher and difficult.

But if we can be LESS CONCERNED about PERSONAL PROBLEMS and MORE CONCERNED ABOUT OTHERS – helping them to SOLVE their PROBLEMS – We will EASILY get SOLUTION to our own PROBLEMS.

#16 – GO FOR GOD’S CHOICE

Choice matters to fulfillment of God’s Plan. It can MAKE us and can also BREAK us. Our Choice can work out God’s Plan for us, and can as well destroy it.

But the ONLY SURE way to get the BEST out of our CHOICES in life is to ALWAYS GO FOR GOD’S CHOICE. Do you want to work out God’s plan for your life in marriage, career, business, ministry, or academics? Yes. GO FOR GOD’S CHOICE.

#17 – GET ENOUGH GOOD INFORMATION

This will HELP you make good decisions, and you will be free from lucky-mindset, doubt and unnecessary anxieties.

Someone rightly said, “We make good decisions on good information, we make bad decisions on bad information, and with no information, we make lucky decisions.”

Meanwhile, nothing is as dangerous as living your life on lucky decisions. Make it a RULE for yourself that you will make no decision until you get good INFORMATION about it.

#18 – MAINTAIN AN ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE

You must understand that God’s PLAN for your LIFE is not LIMITED to this EARTH alone. God’s PLAN for us is ETERNAL, and God has eternal PERSPECTIVE while DRAWING His PLAN for our lives.

So, if you must work out God’s PLAN for your LIFE, you must maintain ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE. Think beyond your life time. See beyond your life time. And PURSUE what is beyond your life time on EARTH.

#19 – THINK BIG THOUGHTS

Do you know God’s PLAN for your LIFE is BIG? Yes. So, you will need to THINK BIG THOUGHTS in order to EXPERIENCE it.

Never allow your CIRCUMSTANCE to DETERMINE how you THINK. Remember, YOU ARE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE, not WHO YOUR CIRCUMSTANCE SAYS YOU ARE.

Henceforth, I challenge you to CHANGE the SIZE of your THOUGHTS. Start to THINK BIG THOUGHTS.

#20 – KNOW WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL AND WHAT YOU CAN’T!

The BALANCE between this two helps to avoid FRUSTRATION and helps in working out God’s PLAN for our lives.

We must understand THINGS we CAN control in our lives. And THINGS of such requires our RESPONSIBILITY. No one, even God can help us.

Also, we must understand THINGS we CAN’T control – and whatever situation you can’t control, DON’T! Just hand it over to God. Let Him take charge.

And don’t fret, fuss, agonize, or be troubled. Simply recognize the fact that this is outside your control. ALLOW the ONLY ONE who has the SOLUTION to help you out.

#21 – BE DILIGENT IN PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE

There are three cogent points here: DILIGENCE, PREPARATION AND FUTURE. But I’ll focus on diligence.

An author, Richard .k. says, “Diligence allows us to operate with our best for His highest with excitement and passion in order to complete our work and call from the Lord.

It is practical obedience in action, which is the loving of our call and the pursuing of our work so we are doing our best for His glory.

We all should strive to find what we are good at and then do it. We are to make ourselves better in our employment and service to God. We should always seek to be better through reading, seminars, schooling, listening, training, and study.

Whatever task we do, even if it is way outside our gifts and talents, we must do it, and be our best– period! (Proverbs 10:4; Ecclesiastes 10: 10; Luke 16:10-12, Romans 12:11; Colossians 3:23).”

#22 – BE A RESPONSIBLE STEWARD

Charles Bugg defines stewardship as: “Utilizing and managing all resources God provides for the glory of God and the betterment of His creation.”

This talk about your ability to WISELY MANAGE the RESOURCES God has entrusted to you, and using them for the advantage of His people.

So a responsible Christian steward is compassionate, content, generous, grateful, loving, loyal, obedient, trustworthy, prayerful, responsible, accountable, and shares.

#23 – ACT WITH FORESIGHT

Foresight as defined by American dictionary is perception of the significance and nature of events before they have occurred. Care in providing for the future; prudence and the act of looking forward.

It is the process of preparing for the future. By understanding what changes and developments may define and shape the future.

The Scripture instructs us to, “Go to the ant…consider her ways, and be wise.” (Proverbs 6:6). And one of the wisdom to glean from the ant is power of foresight – the ABILITY to SEE what is AHEAD and PLAN to MAKE the BEST of it.

#24 – BE A COMMITTED STUDENT OF THE WORD

This is important that you may show yourself APPROVED unto God and become a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth (2Tim 2:15).

Also, How FAR you go in STUDY is how FAR you can go in KNOWLEDGE. And the Bible says, “A man of KNOWLEDGE increases STRENGTH (See Proverbs 24:5).

Knowledge of the WORD of God empowers. It arms you with the weapons you will need. So be a committed student and learner of the Word that you may know how to work out God’s plan for your life.

#25 – FOCUS ON YOUR PURPOSE

Robert Bryne says, “The purpose of life is a life of purpose.” That’s true. Our life lies not in just staying alive, but in finding something to live for (Colossians 2:2, 2Tim 3:10).

You must discover your PURPOSE and FOCUS on it if you must work out God’s Plan for your life. Remember, fulfillment in life is tied to your PURPOSE and you can only attain such end by FOCUSING on it.

#26 – DO THE RIDICULOUS

This is very important. If you are not ready to do the ridiculous, you may also not be ready to EXPERIENCE the miraculous. The key word here is: be ready to do whatever God asks you to do (John 2:1-11).

I have personally discovered that the people God really used in the Bible were people who never for once afraid to do things that looks foolish and ridiculous before others. But of which the results always turn out to work out God’s Plan for their lives.

#27 – NEVER MARCH ALONE

This is one of the greatest rules of SUCCESS in life. And it’s very important we play by it. Working out God’s Plan for our lives require that we MARCH with God Himself.

In order to avoid failure, crash, and regrets, we must make it a rule that we are not going to MARCH alone in life. Meanwhile, God has also given us a promise that He will never leave us and never forsake us (Heb 13:5).

#28 – DON’T PERSONALIZE FAILURE

It doesn’t matter how many times you fail at something, don’t ever PERSONALIZE failure. You are not a failure. You are a SUCCESS.

God does not have failures as children. So don’t ever be caught saying, “I AM A FAILURE.” You can never work out God’s Plan for your life thinking like a failure. You must think right. Think SUCCESS.

Even when you fail, the best thing to do is to PICK all the LESSONS you need from it, RISE UP and MOVE FORWARD (Micah 7:8).
