Great leaders are custodians of secrets. They have insight into mysteries that followers don’t understand. What makes the difference between leaders and the people is the capacity to see differently and act differently. Leaders who make impact on people are searchers.

How to be an Insightful Leader

In other words, searching out a matter – discovering solution and gaining insight that transforms the people is the honour and glory of every leader. God is the greatest Leader of all leaders who rules by His secrets that cannot be understood by anyone. God is God because of mysteries about Him. He does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number.

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable are His decisions! How untraceable, mysterious, undiscoverable are His ways, methods and paths (See Romans 11:33 AMP).

God rules by secrets. That’s why great leaders must be searchers of divine secrets in order to draw insight that can transform destinies. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a thing (Proverbs 25:2).

How much insight you are able to draw per time as a leader determines how effective your leadership will be in God’s term. Your power as a leader is not in lording it over the people. It lies in your ability to see the invisible and to do the impossible. It is in using your leadership edge to help those who follow.

And if you must be this kind of a leader, you must be committed to digging into the deep secrets of God and bringing out revelation that solves human problem.

There’s more spiritual affinity to leadership than natural. You can read the post on 10 ways to be a Living Leader. Every matter that will benefit man-kind cannot be found in the natural. It is always hidden in the supernatural. It takes leaders who are searchers to discover and gain insight into encoded issues of life.

And that’s why the business of leading people is more than managing people. It is leading people that produces true leadership results, not managing people. And to lead people, you must be in tune with God who created them.

You must understand what God is saying about them. You cannot lead people effectively until you are able to draw revelation from God concerning them. It is what you take from God that you can give to the people.

Leaders who take up the task to search out what has been concealed by God are those who can add true value to the lives of people.

Dear leader! Don’t be shallow. Get the courage to search out every secret that belong to us which God has revealed in His word (Deuteronomy 29:29). The Bible is God’s manual that contains the secret things which belong to God’s people for their own good.

If you are going to lead people beyond the natural, you must be insightful. And if you are going to be insightful, you must be Spirit-filled and be Word – enriched.

Never forget this: There’s no discovery without a search and there’s no rediscovery without a research. Every discovery man ever made has always been concealed. It takes searchers and researchers to unveil them – that’s what make an insightful leader.

  • There’s a great difference between knowing and understanding. To be an insightful leader…seek beyond knowing…crave for understanding and if you want to understand today, you have to search yesterday. To understand tomorrow, you have to search today. Insightful leaders are searchers indeed.
