FINDING YOUR PLACE IN LIFE

It is very important for anyone who cares to live the best life to understand the power of destiny. No one comes to this world by accident.

Really, the circumstances surrounding some people’s birth may look as if they came to this world by accident. They were not expected by their parents as at the time they were born. Some were born out of wedlock through premarital sex. Some were born through sinful extra-marital affairs. In fact, there are children who were born after the parents have concluded they no longer wants any child again. Irrespective of the situation surrounding the birth of any child, we need to know that nobody is an accident on earth.

Someone once told me an experience of a certain woman in his church during a special programme organized by the church. The guest minister under a strong anointing made an altar call for everyone trusting God for the fruit of the womb to come out. This woman who had already given birth to four grown up children wanted to stand in the gap for a relative who still trusted the Lord for a child but not around.

She decided to use herself as a point of contact for this relative. But after few months she was the one who became pregnant and gave birth to the fifth child – though unplanned and unexpected. The husband was not happy with the pregnancy and it took the grace of God for both couple to adjust to the reality of unexpected child that came into the family. The couple believed the child was a mistake. They never knew the child had come to fulfil a destiny.

The Bible says, “We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified (See Romans 8:28-30).

The good news about life is that we know all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. When the Bible says all things work together for good does not mean all things that happen to us are good. But all things work together for good not to everyone but to them that love God. In other words, if you love God not all that happens to you may be good but you can be sure that all things work together for ultimate good to you. In addition to them that love God is to them who are the called according to His purpose. This is where the issue of destiny begins to manifest.
