I like to start from where we stopped in the last article as I conclude on How to Sustain Your Victories. Let me quickly share with you few things I have discovered as safe guards to help you sustain your victories as a leader…
ALWAYS PREPARE FOR ANOTHER WAR
Leaders who sustain their victories don’t stop preparing for war even after every victory. The undoing of many defeated leaders is to become relaxed after they have won victory. But little did they know the best time to prepare for another war is after a victory has just been won.
WATCH OUT FOR YOUR PERSONAL WEAK AREAS
Your personal weakness is an area you must not take for granted if you will sustain your victories in life. Many leaders have lost their victories in the past because they took for granted their soft spots. They allow the enemies to strike those areas they are very vulnerable.
BEWARE OF PROVOCATION
To sustain your victories, always handle criticisms with God’s wisdom. One of the tactics of the enemies is to provoke you to mistakes and error by criticizing your victories – mocking your victories and making you provoked. Beware!
Let your victories humble you before God and man. Never become arrogant, naïve, unteachable and proud because of your victories.
Beware of distraction method by your enemies or detractors. Stay focused on God and mountains yet to be conquered. Always remember this rule: Your victories must keep you focused on the giver.
Consciousness of God’s investment in your life and how much He’d done for you should always make you to be grateful. And will always help you to be careful in making Him to regret all He has done for you.
BE SATISFIED WITH WHAT YOU HAVE
Lack of contentment has been the ruin of many leaders who could not sustain their victories (2Sam 12:1-4). If you are content with what you have – the blessings, resources and provisions, you will know how to sustain your victories.
AVOID SECRET FAULTS
They are capable of stealing your victories. And once you know you have engaged in any secret sin, it is better to quickly repent, confess your faults and make yourself accountable to people around you who can help. The only way to destroy secret errors before they cause assault is to quickly expose them.
I believe when we put to heart all these safe guards and other ones you can add to these, we will be able to sustain our victories.
